Riverfolk Music & Arts Festival - Manchester Come and listen to fabulous musical artists sing and perform on Friday, August 6 from 7pm to 11pm and Saturday, August 7 from 10am to midnight. The Manchester Riverfolk Festival is a festival of traditional folk, Cajun, bluegrass and world music that continues to evolve, featuring new creative artists, an array of music and dance workshops, stage shows and activities for the kids. Riverfolk Songwriting Contest
To enter simply submit a completed Song Entry Form. The Entry Form fee does not include admission to the Festival. Admission tickets must be purchased separately.
Songwriters will be accepted in the order they are received.Contest guidelines:
1.) The Songwriting Contestwill be held at the Coffee Mill Cafe in Manchester on August 7, 2010.
2.) The Songwriting Contestwill begin at 11:00 am.
3.) Each contestant will have 10 minutes to perform each song.
4.) Contestants will use a small sound system limited to 3 microphones and an instrument D.I.
5.) The Songwriter need not be the performers but must be present.
6.) Judges will base their decisions on the songs, not necessarily on the quality of the performance.
7.) Songwriters who register online will be notified via email of schedule updates.
8.) Contestantsmay enter more than one song,provided they apply for each song separately.
9.) Entries will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis until the contest limit is reached (limited to 35 participants).
10.) All songs must be original compositions. Performers may notuse copyrightedmaterial owned by someone other than the songwriter.AWARDS
